A
person may qualify for Full Membership of the Association
under the conditions stipulated in accordance with Rule
3 (3) of the AHSPO Consititution, i.e.
1. be not less than 18 years of age
2. be currently employed in the Supply Chain function as
their principal occupation in a Healthcare Institution,
or employed by the agent of the healthcare institution
3. where duties performed above are no the primary function,
membership would be at the discretion of the Committee.
Associate
MembershipAssociate
membership is open to:
1. Individuals that are employed within a healthcare institution
and have an interest in the supply chain function but are
not employed as their principle occupation in this capacity.
2. Full or Associate members that have retired from the
healthcare industry but wish to continue their membership
with the Association.
A
person may qualify for Affiliate membership under the conditions
stipulated in accordance with Rule 4 of the AHSPO constitution,
i.e.
1. Members of Industry, approved by the committee who are
primarily involved in the supply of goods and services to
Healthcare Institution.
Corporate
membership is an organisational membership available to
companies that are engaged in the supply of goods and services
to healthcare institutions.
1. Corporate members do not hold voting rights and are not
eligible to hold office of the Association.
2. Each Corporate member shall nominate up to 2 employees
as its corporate delegates.
3. In the event that either or both these representatives
terminates employment with the company or is no longer able
to fulfil the role of delegate, replacement delegate(s)
should be nominated.
