Our Mission

Advocate the professional development of AHSPO Members through promotion of effective and ethical supply chain principles and techniques and through continuing education and networking

Objectives

  • To provide progressive opportunities for association member’s professional development;
  • to encourage ethical standards in all facets of the supply chain including buying, selling, warehousing and distribution.
  • to provide networking opportunities within the supply chain professions;
  • to strive to advance the supply chain profession; and
  • to observe the Vision, mission and objectives of the Association of Hospital Supply & Purchasing Officers

AHSPO is based in Victoria, and is established to:

  • Secure a wider recognition of the importance of the Supply function in Healthcare organisations. Bring together those engaged in the Healthcare profession in a friendly and social environment. Provide facilities for the reading of papers and for general discussion and presentation of facts of interest to the members on all matters regarding effective Supply activities. Further the dissemination of ideas and methods in such other ways as may seem expedient. Improve and elevate the technical and general knowledge of all concerned in the Health field. Promote a high standard of ethics, and just and honourable practices in the conduct of business.
 
  • Assist each other in difficulties arising from procurement and supply.
